Airtel launched music, video streaming app Wynk Tube.

Airtel launched a new video platform for its Wynk music service. ‘Wynk Tube’. Its available only for Android users as of now. Similar to YouTube Music, Wynk Tube offers songs and videos on its platform.

Wynk Music is free for Airtel users with unlimited streaming and downloads. Non Airtel users will get a 30-day free trial after which it can be subscribed at Rs 99 per month.

At present, Wynk Tube offers songs and videos in three languages – Hindi, Punjabi and Bhojpuri. The display language is set to Hindi by default but users can switch to English.

The app will soon be available in 12 regional languages including Kannada, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, and Bhojpuri. The app’s display language is available in Hindi and English. Wynk Tube currently hosts over 40 lakh songs and videos.

The home page of Wynk Music has recommended playlists, songs, and artists. At the bottom, users will find the trending section and my music.

The app syncs songs installed on the device as well. It also offers curated playlists for users which are refreshed every week based on the user’s listening habits.

WynkTube users can switch to audio and video simultaneously with just one tap. The song or video will start playing from where the user left when switched to either format. There’s Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode, and voice search on Wynk Tube.

Wynk Tube’s stable release took place on April 11, 2019. Wynk Tube is sized 5.9MB making it optimised for entry-level phones.
