Kohima, May 27 (NE): Nagaland reported 5 more COVID-19 positive cases today, May 27, 2020 taking the total count in the state to nine, confirmed the Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland, Temjen Toy, IAS while speaking to NagalandExpress over the phone.
Four new cases have been tested positive for COVID-19 from Dimapur and one from Kohima. All are returnees from Chennai.
All the COVID-19 cases reported in the state so far, are imported, from among the stranded citizens of Nagaland who returned from Chennai on May 22, 2020.
Out of the 1445 suspected samples sent for testing, 1113 samples tested negative for COVID-19 and 323 samples test result are awaited, as stated in the COVID-19 dashboard.
