Assam Rifles Gifts 2 pairs each of Sewing and Stitching Machines to an NGO at Wokha

Kohima, March 25 (NEx): Chieswema Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) gifted four sewing machines and four stitching machines to Lotha Eloe Hoho NGO, Wokha district, Nagaland under Assam Rifles Op Sadhbhavna Project on Wednesday, March 24th, 2021.

PRO HQ IGAR (N) said that the distribution of sewing and stitching machines will immensely help the Lotha Eloe Hoho, an NGO in their vigil to support and empower women while ensuring their ‘Pledge for Parity’ for women and empowering them under “Mahila E – Haat, STEP & Atmanirbhar Bharat”.

Sewing and stitching machines were further distributed by Ms Zuchobeni Ezung, Chairperson, Lotha Eloe Hoho in a ceremony attended by women of nearby villages and village community. The gesture was immensely appreciated and supported by local populace, the PRO said.
