Kohima, December 20 (NEx): Nagaland, the land of festivals is a sight to behold this time of the year as the climate changes. The temperature drops in places at high altitudes like the Pfutsero Town in Phek district and Mt. Pauna, Benreu Tourist Village under Peren district and many others along with the famous Dzukou valley bordering Manipur.
One can experience beautiful sites with frozen droplets all over the place and even small water collecting ponds frozen. It’s a totally different experience altogether to view the ‘Frozen Green’.
Meteu Therie from Menyitsuda Colony, Pfutsero Town under Phek district in Nagaland informed NagalandExpress that ‘Normally the temperature by this time is usually as high as 24°C and as low as 14°C.
But compared to last years, this year the temperature is dropping, it is as high as 15°C and as low as 0°. At midnight the temperature drops to minus (-)°. It gets colder in January,’ – informed Meteu Therie.
A nature lover’s delight, Therie went on to share some of the pictures of frozen droplets on plants, frozen water on the roof and droplets frozen on surfaces.
