Kohima, November 12 (NEx): The Assam Rifles in a press release informed about a massive drug haul in Manipur worth approximately 287 crore and seizure of smuggled illegal foreign goods worth approximately rupees 75 lacs in different operations.
A press release from the AR said that a successful joint operation by Assam Rifles and Manipur Police, led to recovery of 72 kg of Brown Sugar (worth approx. INR 287 Crores) on the intervening night of November 10th & 11th, from a hideout in Kamu village of Thoubal District.

In another press release, AR informed that troops in Manipur on November 11, intercepted and seized smuggled illegal foreign goods of approximate market value at Rs 75 Lakhs from Moreh. Carriers and recovered items were handed over to Police, it said.
