Assam Rifles Recovers Weapon, IMFL & Large Piece of Gold worth Rs. 26 Lacs

Kohima, September 22 (NEx): Assam Rifles in a crackdown against illegal activities recovered weapons and a large piece of Gold worth approximately rupees 26 Lakhs in Manipur on September 19, 2020 and illegal IMFL in Nagaland on September 20, 2020.

A press release from the Assam Rifles informed that based on specific inputs, Assam Rifle troops recovered two Pistols, Live rounds, incriminating items and a large piece of Gold (worth approximately Rs 26 Lakhs) from the residence of an active cadre of Thadou People’s Liberation Army (TPLA) faction in Kangpokpi District (Manipur) on September 19, 2020. The recovered items were handed over to Police, it said.

IMFL worth Rs 4.7 lacs seized in Dimapur;

Assam Rifle troops on September 20, 2020, confiscated a consignment of illegal IMFL (worth approximately Rs 4.7 Lakhs) from general area 4th Mile in Dimapur, Nagaland and handed over the recovered items to the Police, said a press release.
