Kohima, June 30: Assam reported one more COVID-19 death today, June 30, 2020, the death toll in the State rises to 12, informed Assam Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Reporting on the details of the deceased, Assam Health Minister informed, a 50 year old man, namely Mr. Dilip Talukdar of Fatasil Ambari in Guwahati was brought dead to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on June 22, 2020. Subsequently, he was tested positive for COVID-19.
Taking to twitter, Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his condolences to the family.
I am sad to inform that 50-yr-old Mr Dilip Talukdar of Fatasil Ambari, Guwahati was brought dead to GMCH on June 22. Subsequently, he was tested positive for #COVID19. With this our death toll goes up to12.

Assam reported a total of 7835 COVID-19 positive cases as on today, June 30, 2020 at 11:45 am. Among this, 5333 patients recovered from COVID-19, taking the active cases to 2488. 12 fatalities reported in the state due to COVID-19 and 3 patients migrated.
On the backdrop of steep spike in the COVID-19 positive cases in Guwahati, the Assam government has enforced a 14-day “total lockdown” in the city since June 28, 2020 midnight.
