AR organizes World Students' Day to commemorate Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's Jayanti

Kohima, October 16 (NEx): World Students’ Day is observed every year on October 15 to celebrate former
President APJ Abdul Kalam’s Birthday.

A press release from PRO, HQ IGAR (N) said that, Changlang Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) observed “World Students’ Day” at Govt Middle School, Changlang Town of Changlang district (Arunachal Pradesh) on October 15, 2020 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul.

The aim of this event was to create awareness among the students about various employment opportunities and entry schemes in the Security Forces. A total of 25 students attended the event with full enthusiasm.

Meanwhile, the PRO in another press release informed that Khonsa Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) also organized World Students’ Day for the students of Dadam Higher Secondary School, Dadam in Tirap district on October 15, 2020,

The event was organised to motivate
students to follow the footsteps of Dr Kalam and to create awareness among the students about various employment opportunities and entry schemes in the Security Forces.

A friendly Volleyball match was also organised. A total of 50 students and teachers participated in the event, it said.
