Govt cautions against fraud email, message, call- ‘to pay and register for COVID-19 vaccine’

Kohima, December 30 (NEx): Cyber-safety & Cyber-security Division of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India on Monday, December 28, 2020, cautioned on cyber criminals playing various tricks by offering pay and register to receive priority Coronavirus Vaccine.

Due to apprehension associated with COVID-19, Cyber criminals are playing various tricks, MHA said. They may offer to “pay and register” in getting priority to receive first CORONA VACCINE, through malicious link, mail, message or phone call.

Further, the ministry cautioned the people to be aware of such tricks, otherwise you may get defrauded, it said.

It is also reported that, several people have complained of receiving emails that urged them to register by paying certain sum of money for priority or early vaccination during the coronavirus vaccination drive.
