Bharat Bandh on December 8: Opposition parties extend support

Kohima, December 07 (NEx): As the talk between the farmers and central government in regards to farm bills ends inconclusive on Saturday, the Bharat Bhandh on December 08, 2020 called by the farmers union is to go ahead as planned. Many opposition parties extended support to the call of farmers for the Bandh.

The fifth round of talks which was held on Saturday at Vigyan Bhawan with the representatives of 40 Farmer Union with Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Railways & Commerce Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Commerce Som Prakash ended inconclusive. The next round of talks will take place on December 09, 2020.

Meanwhile, many opposition parties including Congress, Shiv Sena, AAP, DMK, Kamal Haasan’s MNM, Left parties, the TMC, TRS, RLP along with others extended the support to Bharat Bhandh called by the farmers union.
