Zeliangrong Student’s Union Kohima To Organize Candlelight Vigil on March 31st

Kohima, March 30 (NEx): The Zeliangrong Students’ Union Kohima (ZSUK) to organise a candle light vigil on Wednesday, March 31st, 2021 at old MLA hostel junction, Phoolbari Kohima, in honour of the three Martyrs who were mercilessly killed on March 22nd at Lamhainamdi, Peren district.

The Angami Youth organisation (AYO) has come forward in solidarity to assist the ZSUK and assured their participation with members from organizations including Angami students union, Angami Public organisation, Tenyimie People’s organization, Kohima Village youth organisation, Angami Mother’s organisation, and Kohima Municipal wards. The Rengma, Chakhesang and Pochury students union and well wishers will also join the candlelight vigil, it informed.

The delegation from Peren district under the banner of Nagaland Zeliang People’s Organization (NZPO) will participate in the program after the submission of Memorandum to the Government, it said.

The introductory speech will be delivered by Dr. Tumda Newme, President Zeme Council, Nagaland, speeches will be given by Dr. Hiabe Zeliang, Zeliangrong Baudi, Kohima, Dr. Kepelhusie Terhüja, President, Angami Public organization and Mr. Timikha Koza, President, Tenyimi People’s organization.

The ZSUK requested all Zeliangrong communities based in Kohima, to come out in unison and show solidarity. They also urged everyone to attend the program with a traditional touch.
