Kohima, April 26 (NEx): World Malaria Day was observed at Changtongya Town & Tuli on April 26th, 2021 with the theme “Reaching the Zero Malaria Target”.
At Changtongya Town, the World Malaria Day was observed at Dobashi Court where, Medical Officer, C.H.C Changtongya, Dr Imtimongba highlighted how malaria is spread and how it can be prevented. He encouraged the gathering to use mosquito repellent and LLIM mosquito net regularly and urged upon everyone to keep their surrounding clean and to remove all stagnant water, which invites mosquito breeding.
Short speeches were also delivered by SDO (C) Changtongya, Rorheu Peseyie and by All Ward Chairman Changtongya, Putinungba Jamir and the programme was chaired by M.O (Ayush) C.H.C Changtongya, Limasashi.
At Tuli, World Malaria Day was observed at Community Health Center, Tuli, where the resource person, M.O, C.H.C Tuli, Dr. Joshua elaborated on the significance of World Malaria Day. He encouraged everyone to spread awareness on malaria at their respective community and also expressed his gratitude to the public leaders for their continuous support.
The programme was chaired by S.M.O C.H.C, Tuli, Dr. Imlinaro and was attended by public leaders, ASHAs and malaria surveillance workers.
