Wokha District Senior Citizens Association Celebrates 25 Years

Kohima, October 24 (NE): Wokha District Senior Citizens Association (WDSCA) celebrated its 25 year Silver Jubilee at Tiyi Hall, Wokha on 24th October 2019 with MLA, Dr. Chumben Murry as the special guest and Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Orenthung Lotha as the guest of honour.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Chumben Murry congratulated all the pioneers and members for the efforts they have put in and taking the association thus far and achieving a milestone. He said their role for the up liftmen of the society and community is very important and urged them to continue their good deeds and contribution so that younger generation will emulate the good examples.

DC Wokha, Orenthung Lotha congratulated the association for providing a platform for all senior citizens to come together and share their rich experiences.

Earlier the MLA and DC Wokha released the jubilee history and approval of WDSCA constitution.

Rev. L.K. Tsanglao spoke on the theme ‘The Responsibility of Older Persons’. Rev. Nyanchumo Lotha, Executive Secretary LBCA, Vankhosung offered prayer of blessing for the older persons.

President, WDSCA, Wokha, M. Rhonbemo Murry delivered the welcome address while vote of thanks was proposed by Vice/President WDSCA, Zubemo Kikon.
