Wokha bids Farewell to Deputy Commissioner

Kohima, October 23 (NE): A farewell programme in honour of the outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Dr.Manazir Jeelani Samoon, IAS was held on 23rd October 2019 at Town Hall, Wokha.

Dr.Manazir while delivering his farewell speech thanked all Head of Offices, subordinate Administrative Officers, NGOs and staff for the support and co-operation extended during his short stay and stated because of support Wokha district achieved recognition. He also said during his one year and eleven months term three elections was conducted smoothly and two National awards under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao were received which he said was possible because of the co-operation from all corner of society and the general public.

The outgoing DC also appealed all to extend the same support to the new DC so that Wokha district can further achieve more and earn good name.

Incoming Deputy Commissioner, Orenthung Lotha, NCS assured to provide good governance and transparency in the working system and sought the co-operation of all Heads of Offices, civil societies and Hohos to work for the welfare of the district.

ADC HQ, ADC Bhandari, DB, staff, Lotha Hoho and Officers who spoke during the farewell function expressed appreciation to Dr.Manazir for all the good work he has done for the district and making Wokha one of the best performing district.
