Volleyball Ground Inaugurated At Peletkie Village, Peren District

Kohima, December 08 (NEx): Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) inaugurated a Volleyball ground along with playing equipment at Peletkie village under Peren District on December 06, 2020.

PRO HQ IGAR (N) in a press release on December 07, said that the newly constructed volleyball ground was handed over to the villagers in presence of the Village GB, Chairman and important members of the village council.

The inauguration of the newly
constructed volleyball ground was done by the youngest girl member of the village youth club and a friendly volleyball match was also organised
between the security forces and the village volleyball team, he added.

Assam Rifles Provided Basic Essential Rations To Orphanage:

In another press release, the PRO informed that the Assam Rifles provided basic essential rationsto an Orphanage in Mokokchung on December 05, 2020.

It said that, in an act of humanitarian assistance, the Mokokchung Battalion of Assam Rifles provided essential ration items to Care and Support Children Home Orphanage at Chungtia, Mokokchung district.

Assam Rifles Conducted Free Medical Camp in Mon District:

The PRO in another press release informed that the Mon Battalion under the aegis HQ IGAR (North) organised a free medical camp in a remote Village called Lampo Sheangha of Mon District, Nagaland on December 04, 2020.

He said that the medical team of Assam Rifles provided free medical consultancy and medicines to the local populace and also briefed them on COVID-19 precautions, hygiene and sanitation.

A total of 193 patients including 77 Male, 83 female & 33 children benefitted from the camp. The villagers expressed gratitude towards Assam Rifles for their noble gesture during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, it said.
