Various bodies condemn alleged rape of minor girl in Dimapur

Kohima, August 31 (NEx): Various organisations have condemned the alleged rape of a minor girl by 43-year old man from Mokokchung presently residing at Diphupar B, Dimapur.

In a joint press release, the Zangkham Village Council, the Mothers’ Association (KNSK), the Students’ Union and College Students’ Union Forum of Zangkham Village, Tizit, Mon, jointly condemned the uncivilised act committed upon a minor girl who is a bonafide citizen of Zangkham Village, and was working as domestic helper at the 43-year old man’s (accused) house at Diphupar B, Dimapur.

The Union therefore urged upon every right thinking citizens to condemn this uncivilised and barbaric act in our present society and seek justice for the Victim. Further, it vehemently request the concern authority to initiate liable punishment to the culprit as per the law.

DENSU condemns;

The Dimapur Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union (DENSU) condemned the rape of a minor eastern girl by 43-year old man from Mokokchung presently residing at Diphupar B, Dimapur on multiple occasions.

The union expressed grave concern over the incident and calls upon the Investigating agency to leave no stone unturned in the investigation so that justice is delivered in the court of law, said a press release.

Crimes, especially rape dehumanize societies and letting the perpetrators of such crimes go unpunished is a threat to the society. The perverted mindset of the perpetrator of this heinous crime is strongly condemned by the Union and the same must be condemned by all.
