Two houses gutted by fire at Circuit colony, Dimapur

Kohima, May 14 (NE): The Fire and Emergency (F&E) services reported a fire incident which affected two families at Circuit Colony, Dimapur on May 13, 2020.

According to the report by the department, it said that, two Kutcha houses, one used by Tenant and one used as a Garage were completely razed in the inferno, along with four Vehicles and other household properties.

The report said that on receiving a fire call at Circuit Colony, Dimapur on May 13, 2020 at 10:45 pm, Fire and Emergency Services mobilized a quick response team from Fire Station Dimapur (Central) to control the fire. Fire Personnel departed at 10:47 pm and reached the incident site at 10:52 pm.

Due to timely response from fire team, the fire was brought under control and also from further spreading to the surrounding houses. The response team was led by Duty Commander SI Bonom Konyak, it added.

The report also said that the cause of the fire is unknown and there was no casualty in the incident.

Fire and Emergency (F&E) Services has been doing a commendable job as frontline workers even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis in the state.
