Two houses completely burnt; 3 injured at Yongja, Longleng

(Assam rifles providing basic essentials to the victims of the fire incident at Longleng)

Kohima, April 07 (NEx): In a major fire incident, two houses were completely burnt and three (3) injured at Yongja village, Longleng during late night of April 6th-7th, 2021.

The PRO, HQ IGAR (N) informed that the Mokokchung Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) provided necessary assistance to the victims of who lost their house in the fire accident.

It was reported that two thatch houses were completely burnt in which a total of seven family members were residing and troops of Assam Rifles on learning about the fire incident, immediately swung into action and evacuated the men and materials from the site.

The PRO also informed that three persons were seriously injured and the Assam Rifles medical team assisted and provided them with basic first aid treatment.

The battalion also provided basic essentials to the victims. The initiative and proactive action by the Assam Rifles was highly appreciated by the District Administration and locals, the PRO said.
