Two Days Workshop of Beekeeping Practices held at St. Joseph University, Dimapur

Dimapur, February 26 (NE): The Zoology department of St. Joseph University Dimapur conducted 2 days workshop on “Beekeeping practices “in collaboration with Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) from February 24-25.

Three professionals from NBHM presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation on various topics some of which include -“Apiary management “(by Mr. Letgong Patrick), “Multifacet benefits of bees “(by Mr Mhathung Tsopoe), “detailed account on the casts of honey bees “(by Mrs Bokali Chikke).

In a press release by St Joseph University, Dimapur, said that the objective of the workshop was to create awareness and bring into limelight the significance of apiculture in strengthening livelihoods and economy.

The workshop was accompanied by practical demonstration on the rearing and management of honey bees. In total 96 students attended the workshop along with the faculties and the management of the University.
