Tuensang’s innovative approaches amongst 25 inspiring stories in India: A book to be launched at New Delhi

Dimapur, March 04 (NE): Nagaland would be proud for Tuensang district, as the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India appreciates the innovative approaches of Tuensang district for spreading the message of “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” (BBBP) in it’s district. The Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India, New Delhi has sent a congratulatory letter to the DC of Tuensang, Shri. Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, on February Twenty Seven, 2020.

In this regard, the central government has also written saying that the innovative approaches adopted by Tuensang district will also be published among the 25 other such inspiring stories from different districts in India.

In the same letter, the DC of Tuensang has been invited to New Delhi as the district representative to participate in the program of launching the book which is a collection of 25 inspiring stories from different districts. The book would be launched by Hon’ble Minister, WCD on March 5, 2020, tomorrow.

The DC, wrote in social media page which reads: “Happy to inform that the innovative approach adopted by Tuensang District for spreading message of ‘ Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ has been appreciated by the women & child development (WCD) Ministry and it has been decided to publish the collection of 25 such inspiring stories collected from District all across the Country”. – unquote.

It can be noted that such honours are a privilege for a small state like Nagaland. It is also to be mentioned that Nagaland including North East India has to be highlighted in such national level platforms so that every one will know the various schemes which are also implemented in ground level, like any other states in India.
