Kohima, August 02 (NEx): Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS, extended the existing total lockdown in Phomching Sub-Division under Mon district for 7 more days uptill August 09, 2020.
An order issued by Thavaseelan on Saturday stated that 7 days total lockdown enforced in Phomching Sub-Division, under Mon district from July 27 till August 02, 2020 has been extended for 7 more days, starting from August 03 till August 09, 2020.
As guidelines to follow, the DC Mon stated that, all movement of public is prohibited except on medical emergencies. All business / commercial establishments and shops except Pharmacies shall remain closed.
All movements of public vehicles except those permitted is banned. No movement will be permitted in and out of Phomching Sub-Division. Not more than 20 people will be permitted in case of funerals, also a register containing the name and contact details of all those who attend must be mandatorily maintained and submitted to the concerned Sub-divisional officers, it added.
Further, DC Mon requested all to kindly comply with the order. If any person found violating this order will be penalized under the relevant provisions of the law, warned DC Mon.
