Three Oxygen Generation Plant Equipments Reached Dimapur Airport

Kohima, April 30 (NEx): The equipments of PSA Oxygen Generation Plant for Naga Hospital Authority Kohima, District Hospital Dimapur and District Hospital Mokokchung has landed at Dimapur Airport today, April 30, 2021. The Three Oxygen Plants was in Nagaland was approved under PM-CARES fund.

The Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio thanked the Defence Minister of India Rajnath Singh for ensuring air transport of equipment for the three oxygen plants for Dimapur, Kohima and Mokokchung District Hospitals.

This will enable us to have consistent oxygen supply for effective management of COVID cases, Rio said in a tweet.

Earlier, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio requested Union Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh to airlift the equipments for three oxygen plants in Nagaland on an urgent basis, as the road journey time from Delhi to Nagaland, would take around 10 days.

The Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland Yanthungo Patton expressed sincere appreciation to IAF, Wing Commander S. Akheto Jakhalu, VSM, for his involvement throughout the process in making sure that the oxygen plants that Nagaland received today reached the state in time. He also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister of India.

The Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom thanked the Indian Air Force for carrying the airlifting of the oxygen plants equipments to Nagaland. The minister said that the plant will be shifted to the three locations and installations will be done on war footing.
