Kohima, May 10 (NE): The Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Anoop Khinchi, today, May 10, 2020 in an office order said that in the absence of any positive cases for the last 28 days, the Thakurbari area is declared out of containment area with effect from May 11, 2020.
After a patient from Dimapur referred to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital was tested positive for COVID-19, Thakurbari area along with other areas was declared as containment zone.
An Active Surveillance Team which was set up on April 13, 2020, were screening and monitoring the residents of this Containment Area for 28 days which began on April 13, 2020.
The DC further ordered to ensure the lockdown measures as specified, national COVID-19 directive and standard operating procedure protocol for social distancing.
Any person violating this order will be liable to be proceeded against as per the provisions of section 51-60 of the disaster management Act 2005 besides legal action under section 188 of IPC, it added.
