Temporary suspension of OPD services at District Hospital Mon

Kohima, June 27 (NE) : The Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS, on June 25, 2020 through a notification suspended all Out Patient Department (OPD) services and emergency services at the district hospital Mon from June 26 – 28, 2020 in view of the ongoing of the ongoing sanitization process at the district hospital mon and simultaneous COVID-19 sample collection based on contact tracing at the COVID Hospital.

During the suspension period, DC notified that temporary arrangement for OPD and Emergency services has been activated at Rapha Hospital, Mon. He requested the public to avail the same from Rapha Hospital Mon during the suspension period.

Mon district is under total lockdown since Thursday, June 25, 2020 for four days after a DEF Jawan, who was on duty at a quarantine centre where Chennai returnees are quarantined has been tested positive through a TrueNet Testing.

Following which, four more frontline workers (Jawans) in Mon district have been tested positive for COVID-19 through TrueNat machine and their samples have been sent to ICMR Dibrugarh for confirmation. Contact tracing is currently underway.
