Team Youngsters wins the 1st Open Super Six Circket Tournament 2021

Kohima, March 15 (NEx): Team Youngsters emerged as winners of the 1st Open Super Six Circket Tournament 2021 which concluded on Sunday at Ruzukhrie Government Higher Secondary School Ground, Kohima.

In the final match, Youngsters played against N. V press. The Youngsters batted first and set a target of 52 runs in 6 overs. N. V Press managed to score 37 runs in the alloted 6 overs. Bishal was declared the man of the match.

Earlier, in the pre-quarter round, N. V Press and K.O.D.H won their respective matches against W. E. L. P and M. C Aloo. In the first quarter final match, Youngsters defeated Silverbacks by 3 wickets. In other quarter final matches, B. R. T. F (A) defeated Sunari Union and X. L Red academy won against Jagaurnauts.

In the first semi final, Youngsters won by 2 wickets while N. V Press defeated X. L Red by 16 runs in the other semi final.

The convener of the tournament, Vikato Wotsami thanked Raju Roy, sponsor of first price, the umpires, the players, the Kohima District Veterans Cricket Club, cricket lovers and media & DIPR for the media coverage. He also expressed special gratitude to the concerned authority for the ground.

An exhibition match was played between the organizer, United Brothers and the sponsors, which was won by the former.
