TaFMA sent out a strong message on inclusion; Wheelchair access at RCEMPA, Jotsoma

Kohima, October 5 (NE): A recent tweet from Task Force For Music and Arts (TaFMA) has sent out a strong message on inclusion. In our society, persons with disabilities are facing many challenges in day to day life on basic facilities like transportation and accessibility, this step taken towards inclusiveness by TaFMA under its Advisor Theja Meru, gives an equal opportunity to many.

TaFMA in its recent tweet said, ‘Stepping up’ towards making the enjoyment of music and art by one and all at RCEMPA, Jotsoma.

TaFMA has set an example for others to follow in understanding the basic needs of a person with disabilities and to step up to include everyone to equally participate and enjoy in all the activities of our society.

The State Commissioner for Persons with Disability, Nagaland, Diethono Dee Nakhro appreciated the steps taken by TaFMA.

It is to be noted, Nagaland has in August, 2019 notified 4% reservation in jobs for the disabled. The sate is witnessing a positive change on the rights of persons with disabilities.
