“As Christians, we all take profound pleasure in celebrating the birth and glory of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. Christmas season is a nostalgic time of joy, peace and happiness as it reminds us of the great love of our Lord.

This Christmas season let us forgive each other and let love, reconciliation and brotherhood be the symbol of our Christmas celebration. As we wait for conclusion of the Indo-Naga Political issue, let us continue to pray for the Lord’s sanction to work out everything in the best way possible.

I wish and hope that this Christmas will be an occasion for the Naga people to unite and as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and to enter a new year; I earnestly hope that great peace, prosperity and victory will be upon all of us in every sphere of life.

The year 2020 has witnessed unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic and against a backdrop filled with pain, loss and suffering; we will be celebrating Christmas which may be unlike any we have ever experienced. However, hard times have a way of bringing out the best in people and this Christmas season, I earnestly hope and pray that the promise of peace and hope for the future that comes with Christmas be ignited in everyone.

I take this opportunity to wish all the citizens of Nagaland a blessed and meaningful Christmas and a prosperous happy New Year 2021.

The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance on you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26)” -T.R Zeliang.
