Swachhata Hi Sewa campaign from September 11 to October 2

Dimapur, September 4, (NE): With an aim to eliminate use of plastic and to dispose plastic waste – a National campaign by name of, “Swachhata Hi Sewa” by Government of India would be launched from September 11 to October 2 next.

In this regard, through a directive by UGC, to concern state universities has asked it’s universities and colleges being affiliated under them on undertaking various activities at Nagaland.

The notification requested to use students for picking waste from their surroundings & bringing them in a central location of the said institution.

Then the plastic waste be collected for disposal in consultation with respective district/Municipal/Town, etc administration on October 2 for effective recycling or in road constructions including in cement industry.

Meanwhile, it also said to upload their informations in regard of students numbers, staffs, teachers and officials who have participated in the said campaign alongwith photographs or videos on University Activity Monitoring Portal of UGC (www.ugc.ac.in/uamp) under the said event, latest by 5pm, October two.
