Sikhs celebrates 550th Gurpurab in Nagaland today

Dimapur, November 12 (NE): The Sikhs celebrated its 550th Gurpurab at Gurudwara, Dimapur with rest of India marking the birthday of Guru Nanak Dev – with it’s program since morning.

The birthday of Sri Guru Nanak Dev is a National Holiday throughout India with various functions being held in his memory. In the same way, where ever Sikhs and Gurudwaras are – atleast a small function are held even here at Nagaland.

Nagaland Governor R.N Ravi, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy CM Y Patton and many others greet the people of the state on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev.

The other part is that vast followers including welwishers visited to attend the program and lots from poor backgrounds were fed during the day, which went till late in the evening.
