Shri R. N Ravi took oath as the 20th governor of Nagaland

Kohima, August 1: Hon’ble Governor Shri R.N Ravi took oath of office today (1st August). The oath was administered by Justice Arup Kumar Goswami, Chief Justice (Acting) Gauhati High Court at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan Kohima.

Shri R. N Ravi is the 20th governor of Nagaland. Former Intelligence Bureau officer and currently the interlocutor for the Naga peace talks, was appointed the new Governor of Nagaland by President on July 20 following the completion of five-year tenure of P B Acharya on July 19.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Opposition Leader T R Zeliang, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, Chief Secretary Temjen Toy, and other Ministers were present at the oath taking ceremony.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio in his tweet Congratulated the Hon’ble Governor Shri R.N Ravi on taking the oath of office.

Leader of Opposition T R Zeliang, also congratulated Shri RN Ravi on being sworn in as the new Governor of Nagaland. A name which is now synonymous with the Naga peace process, his tenure as the new constitutional head of the State will surely usher in positive changes.
