Mokokchung, September 11 (NE): Nagaland state level science seminar 2019, organised by the Directorate of School Education, Government of Nagaland held today (September 11, 2019) at town hall Mokokchung.
Shongmeth M konyak, a student of Class 9 of Sacred Heart School Mon, Declared as winner of state level science seminar 2019 under the topic: Periodic Table of Chemical Elements- Impact on Human Welfare. 2nd– Kelhule Nagi from Baptist Mission School, Jotsoma Kohima, 3rd– Komal Haokip from Jubilee Memorial School, Mokokchung.
It’s the second time, Sacred Heart School, Mon has won the state level science seminar. Last year seminar also won by them.
Shri Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung was the guest speaker of the Science Seminar 2019, hosted by District Education Officer.
Speaking during the programme as special guest, DC Mokokchung asked the students, not to see science only as a subject but to look from the perspective of how science have contributed in human lives. He said one need to focus and understand the basic and fundamentals of science to be comfortable with the subject. DC further urged all the students to make use of the programme to make more knowledgeable.
Earlier, welcome address was proposed by DEO Mokokchung, Sademmongla, keynote address was delivered by Dy. Director (DSE), Limadangit Jamir and special songs were presented by G.H.S Dilon and Edith Douglas H.S.S, vote of thanks was proposed by ADEO Mokokchung, Satemkala while Sr. Principal MGHSS chaired the programme.
