Shashi Tharoor helps Nagas in Kerala during Covid-19 lockdown

Kohima, April 08 (NE): Unprecedented lockdown due to Covid-19 pandemic has effected normal lives of many Nagas who are out of station for study or work. As stories comes out from different states about their plight during the lockdown, among such, a timely help from Lok Sabha MP from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Dr. Shashi Tharoor comes as a relief for Nagas stranded in Kozhikode district of Kerala.

A report received from Kerala said, people from Nagaland, including a family, working in a private cafe near central market, Kozhikode town in Kerala was facing the difficulties due to the unprecedented lockdown. Their work place was shut down during the lockdown period as ordered by the Government of Kerala.

Kerala MP, Shashi Tharoor received an urgent appeal from the Nagaland Pradesh Congress, President, K Therie about the difficulties of Naga people due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

Immediately after receiving the information, Tharoor called up the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee, Vice President, T Siddique. The Essential commodities and eatables were provided to the family within no time by the Youth Congress workers at Kozhikode, Kerala.
