Security personnel on Quarantine centre duty in Peren tests positive for COVID-19

Frontline worker, a security personnel who was on Quarantine centre duty in Peren has been tested COVID-19 positive on July 17, 2020.

Peren, July 17 (NEx): Frontline worker, a security personnel who was on Quarantine centre duty in Peren has been tested COVID-19 positive, informed Chief Medical Officer, Peren, today, July 17, 2020.

Speaking to NagalandExpress, the DSO Peren, Dr. Hedungkiebe, said that one security person who was on duty at Peren College, Polytechnic area has been confirmed as COVID-19 positive through ICMR process, and the positive person has been shifted to COVID hospital for treatment.

DSO Peren, informed that, the security personnel who tested positive for COVID-19 was not in contact with anyone from outside, but six persons from his team whom came in contact, has been quarantined.

The sample test results of the six persons are awaited at the time of filing this report.

According to COVID-19 daily bulletin by Health and Family Welfare Department, GoN, Peren district has confirmed 237 COVID-19 positive cases, in which 138 patients have recovered from COVID-19 and the active cases in the District now stands at 98.
