Kohima, July 17 (NEx): The State Government of Nagaland notified that all employees/staff in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat and Directorates will be required to be vaccinated to attend office, or to produce COVID-19 negative test report by getting tested every 15 days either through RT-PCR/TrueNat/CBNAAT on self payment basis as per Government approved rates.
The Chief Secretary in pursuance to the decision taken by the High Powered Committee on COVID-19 in its meeting held on July 16th, and in the interest of public health and safety, issued an order for strict compliance by all the government employees in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat and Directorates.
The order said that salaries of those who have not taken a single dose of vaccine against COVID-19 or who have failed to furnish COVID-19 negative test report will be stopped beyond July 31st, 2021 and they will not attend office. The period of absence of such employees will be treated as leave without pay, it added.
The CS also ordered that the Administrative Head of Departments/ Head of Departments shall enforce the directive, and submit report to the Home Department on or before 15th of every month giving in detail the status of vaccination or submission of COVID-19 negative test report, as the case may be, for all the employees/staff, and the salaries deducted on account of the staff/employees concerned availing leave without pay, until further notice.
