Kohima, May 27 (NE): The Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha, IAS directed the Deputy Commissioner and Chairman District Task Force for Dimapur and Kohima, regarding the Inter-district transfer of returnees from other states to Nagaland.
The returnees bound for other districts, who are kept at quarantine facilities in Dimapur and Kohima, shall be sent to their respective districts only after conducting the COVID-19 tests and obtaining the results.
This was decided in a meeting held under the Chairmanship of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Nagaland, today, May 27, 2020.
Sinha stated that, after the Health and Family Welfare Department informs the status of the tests of returnees to the respective District Task Forces, the districts will make the travel plan accordingly.
There shall be proper coordination between the sending and receiving districts along with arrangements for necessary refreshments en route. He also suggested that the project Directors, DRDA of the districts falling on the way may be assigned with proper instructions regarding arrangements for refreshments/food, it stated.
Further, it stated that the plans for sending the returnees to their respective districts should be prepared at least one day in advance with proper intimation to concerned Hon’ble Minister/Hon’ble Advisors assigned to monitor Chief Minister’s Office, the War Room and Empowered Group for better coordination.
