Registration for COVID vaccination of 18-44 years to open at 09:00 am on May 19th

Kohima, May 18 (NEx): The Department of Health & Family Welfare on Tuesday informed that the next COVID-19 vaccination drive for the age group of 18-44 years is to be held on May 24 and 25, 2021 and the online registration will start from 09:00 am on May 19, 2021.

The state immunization officer, Dr. Ritu Thurr in a press release on Tuesday informed that a total of 6350 sessions of vaccination for the age group of 18-44 years in 24 different locations across all the districts of Nagaland is scheduled for May 24, 2021, while 7050 sessions have been scheduled in 28 locations on May 25, 2021.

The Health department informed that all the slots for May 24 and 25, 2021 have been booked for Mon, Longleng and Kohima districts. Slots are available for others districts for online registration, it added.

The online registration for May 24 & 25, 2021 sessions will start from 09:00 am, on May 19th, 2021, the state immunization officer informed.

Thurr also informed that there are two online registrations, one is for the age group of 18-44 years and another for 45-years and above in the COWIN portal.

As informed earlier, Online registration is mandatory for the vaccination and people can register through COWIN & Aarogya Setu app and there will not be any onsite registration, the Health department informed. It also said that the Identity Card used during the registration should be produced at the vaccine site.

3029 beneficiaries vaccinated on May 17;

The state immunization officer, Dr. Ritu Thurr informed that, the coverage of May 17th vaccination drive for the age group of 18-44 years, is 3029 (81.86%), out of 3700 slots allotted in the COWIN portal.

The department also advised People who are unable to keep their appointment to cancel or reschedule.
