Prime Minister Modi takes his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Kohima, March 01 (NEx): The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi took his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine today at AIIMS New Delhi.

In a tweet, the PM said, “Took my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS.

Remarkable how our doctors and scientists have worked in quick time to strengthen the global fight against COVID-19.

I appeal to all those who are eligible to take the vaccine. Together, let us make India COVID-19 free!”

Along with the rest of the country, the second phase of COVID vaccination began today in Nagaland for age-appropriate groups who are at higher risk, including citizens above 60 years and citizens aged 45-59 with comorbidities or diseases subject to certification by a registered medical practitioner.

The state health department informed that self registration for vaccination can be done at Co-Win App, Arogya Setu App or login to cowin.gov.in, which will be available from 9:00 am, March 1st, 2021 onwards.
