Poor network connectivity hindering the ongoing NU online examination; ENCSU

Kohima, May 31 (NEx): The Eastern Nagaland College Students’ Union (ENCSU) expressing a deep concern over poor network coverage and slow internet connectivity on the Eastern parts of Nagaland, appealed for quality internet connectivity for smooth conduct of Nagaland University (NU) online examinations.

It is pertinent to note that, month long online examination for Nagaland University Three Year Degree Courses, have started from May 27th, 2021 uptill June 26th, 2021.

The Union said that it has taken a strong note on multiple complaints received from the students, parents and general public with regard to poor connectivity across Eastern Nagaland which is hindering the ongoing online examination for Under Graduate students under Nagaland University.

It also mentioned that the students under Noklak District experienced a tense situation being unable to submit the answer script within the stipulated time on May 29th, 2021, and that the same situation is being experienced by many students in the interior places where the students have to walk miles away from home in search of internet connection to appear the exams.

The ENCSU in a press release appealed the State Government and district administrators to immediately take measures on the prevailing issue and to direct the Telecom providers operating in Eastern Nagaland to provide quality network coverage and uninterrupted internet connectivity in all the areas within Eastern Nagaland for the smooth conduct of the NU examination.

The Union further extended best wishes to all the students for their end semester exams.
