Photography Workshop-Cum-Competition 2020 held at St. Joseph University, Dimapur

Dimapur, February 9 (NE): A three days Photography Workshop – cum – Competition 2020 was held successfully from February Five to Seven at St Joseph University Auditorium, Dimapur where Honorable Vice – Chancellor Prof. Dr. D.Gnanadurai, B.E.,M.S., Ph.D., was the chief guest and being inaugurated by Dr. J. Robert Edwin Chester, Registrar, of St.Joseph University (SJU), Dimapur.

Both the speakers during the day congratulated for organizing such an event, which will go a long way, the dignitaries observed and said such awareness are required to be organized again in the future.
Meanwhile, the SJU had invited two resource persons from outside thr University as: Dilip Kujur, Photographer/Director & Founder of Way2Kingdom Youth Media Ministry, Dimapur who highlighted during the entire Workshop: Framing, Depth of File, Settings and it’s usages, type of lens & usages. Types of Photography, street life photography and usages of shorts including many other topics.

The second resource person was: Achano Tungoe, a renowned wedding photographer from Dimapur who also took time to encourage the students attending the workshop.

The winners of Photography Competition were:

1. KUMSUTO H YEPTHO of Cornerstone college.

He won the 1st prize- Rs.3000/-

2. MHASILENUO RUTSA, 4th semester student of M.A (Mass Communication & Journalism).

She won 2nd Prize – Rs. 2000/-

3. Two persons won the 3rd prize:

– MHARONI, 2nd semester student

– THEKOV√úLO, 4th semester student both from St.Joseph University won-Rs. 1000/- each.

It is convent & coordinated by Dr.M.Suresh, M.Sc, M.Phil, PhD, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, St.Joseph University along with other organizing committee members and others.

The program was organized by Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, SJU, Dimapur. It is said that few students from outside the University also attended the sessions enthusiastically.
