PDA resolves to continue with JLF; welcomes October 15th 7 points resolution

Kohima, November 05 (NEx): The People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) resolved to continue with the Joint Legislators Forum (JLF) in a meeting today, November 05, 2020 at the Chief Minister’s Residential Complex, which was attended by Elected Members of the PDA, PDA Coordination Committee Members, and Chairpersons of PSUs.

According to a report from the department of Information and Public relations, GoN, the House deliberated on the proposal of the Leader of Opposition on November 02, 2020, and reiterated the Resolution of the PDA on August 20, 2020 wherein the House resolved to continue with the JLF. It also added that the PDA reiterated the appeal of the Government of India, through the Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, to the NPF to rejoin the JLF.

Meanwhile, the PDA congratulated the State Government on the successful conduct of the Consultative Meeting on the Naga Political Issue held on October 15, 2020 at the State Banquet Hall, Kohima, who also welcomed and endorsed the resolutions of the Consultative Meeting and supports the seven points resolution which were unanimously adopted by the Consultative Meeting.

The alliance also congratulated the State Government, the Election Department, the Administration and Police, Tribal Hohos, NGOs and all sections who positively contributed towards the conduct of peaceful and successful bye-elections in two assembly constituencies of 14 Southern Angami – 1 and 60 Pungro-Kiphire A/C.
