PDA Coalition will complete the present term with full honour & dignity and go beyond: NDPP

Kohima, July 15 (NEx): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) on Thursday informed that the Union Home Minister has assured the NDPP delegation that the PDA Coalition will complete the present term under Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio’s leadership with full honour and dignity and that the PDA Coalition would continue even beyond the present term.

Through a press Communique today, NDPP appreciated the full fledged endorsement and upholding of the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and the re-assurance on the trust and confidence of the PDA Coalition under the leadership of the Chief Minister by the Central leadership including Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, National BJP President, J.P. Nadda and BJP National General Secretary, B.L. Santosh.

NDPP extended its appreciation to the Central leadership and the BJP high command for the positive meetings and interactions that took place in New Delhi with the Hon’ble Chief Minister and his entourage during June 28th to July 2nd, 2021.

Appreciating the confidence bestowed upon the Party and the leadership of Mr. Neiphiu Rio by the BJP leadership, the NDPP gives its full fledged assurance and commitment that the party will uphold the spirit of the PDA coalition which is a pre-poll alliance with a seat sharing formula. ‘The NDPP will never deviate from the understanding and spirit of the alliance which is based on trust and common understanding,’ stated the press Communique.

NDPP also extended its appreciation to all Members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly for formation of the Parliamentary Committee and Core Committee on Naga Political Issue which includes all MLAs and both Members of Parliament from Nagaland. The party welcomed and endorsed the adoption of the 5 points resolution by the Core committee on July 9th, 2021.

The NDPP further appreciated the seriousness of the Union Home Minister on the Naga political issue especially the advise he had given for a joint statement to be given by the Chief Minister and the Leader of Opposition, which was made on December 18th, 2020. The party said that these steps have contributed towards unity and understanding which resulted in the institution of the Parliamentary Committee and the Core Committee on Naga Political Issue.
