Kohima, March 04 (NEx): The ONGC Foundation officially handed over the donated Cold Chain Equipments (CCEs) to the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland today, at 12:30 PM in the Principal Directors Chamber.
The State IEC Bureau informed that Shri. Temjenyanger, DGM (Geology), has been deputed to oversee the equipments and hand over the ONGC stickers to be placed in each of the equipment. He also briefed the meeting on behalf of the ONGC and greeted the officers present in the meeting.
As per instructions from the Government of India, ONGC took the initiative to fund and aid the Medical Department with Medical equipments like Ice Lined Refrigerator (ILR) and Cold Chain and through the initiatives and commitment of Shri. Puneet Suri Executive Director-Basin Manager, Assam and Assam Arakan Basin, Jorhat, various Cold Chain Equipments were supplied and Cold Chain Points were installed in the state, the bureau said.
Members present in the meeting were Dr Kevichusa Medikhru, Principal Director, DoHFW, Shri.Temjenyanger DGM (Geology), Dr Ritu Thurr, State Immunization Officer (UIP), Dr G.R Rio, Deputy Director (UIP), Dr Kikameren Longkumer, Joint Director DoHFW, Shri. Keneingulie Solo, State Cold Chain Officer (UIP). After the meeting, the members physically verified the Medical equipments, it said.
