One Katcha House Gutted At Tenyiphe-1, Dimapur, Property Worth Rs.1.5 Lakhs Lost

Dimapur, January 20 (NEx): One Katcha house was gutted at Tenyiphe-1, B-Khel, 6th Mile Dimapur on January 19, 2021 and property worth Rs.1.5 Lakhs approximately was lost in the inferno.

Kenny Khing, R.O(E) Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES), Nagaland informed that on receiving a Fire call at 04:51 pm on January 19th, 2021 at Tenyiphe-I, B-Khel, 6th Mile, Dimapur, F&ES team from Fire Station Chumukedima proceeded to control the fire.

Two Fire Tenders alongwith sufficient Equipments & Fire Personnel were pressed into action and it took the fire team 20 minutes to bring the fire under control. Due to timely information and response, the fire was prevented from spreading further to the surrounding buildings, Khing informed.

One Katcha house was gutted in the inferno and property worth Rs.1.5 Lakhs approximately was lost in the inferno. The cause of the fire is suspected to be due to electrical issue, he added.
