NWA, IAS Association Nagaland donates to CM’s Relief Fund, Rio expresses gratitude

Kohima, March 28 (NE): The Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) and wrestling fraternity, IAS Association of Nagaland donates to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF), today, March 28, 2020, to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.

An official letter addressing the Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said, the NWA stands with the state government at this difficult time in fighting against the spread of COVID-19. We extend our appreciation to the state government for all the initiatives taken to contain the spread of the disease. We also appreciate various agencies such as medical departments, police, doctors, nurses, military, churches, and all the volunteers in fighting against the disease, it added.

As a show of solidarity, NWA and wrestling fraternity donate Rs. 100000 (One Lakh) rupees, a small token to CMRF, said the letter by NWA President, Neivikuolie Khatsu and General Secretary, Vekhozo.

As a sign of solidarity with the Government in fighting against COVID19, the Nagaland Wrestling Association contributed Rs. 1 lakh to CMRF. They also expressed appreciation to the medical department, health workers, law enforcement agencies, churches & volunteers, tweets CM Rio.

The IAS Association of Nagaland has come forward to contribute one-day salary towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund. I’m grateful to the Association for their kind gesture & timely help, said another tweet from CM Rio.
