NSF welcomes the positive development in the Naga Peace talk

Kohima, November 2 (NE): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), on Saturday, through an official statement informed that, it is pleased to learn that the 31st October meeting between the Government of India (GOI) and NSCN-IM ended on a positive note and that an understanding has been reached between the two parties.

The federation has always maintained that the abrogation of the peace process due to differences between the negotiating parties would prove to be costly for the future of the Nagas, stated in the recent release.

The NSF welcomes this positive development and appreciates both the parties of the political dialogue for adopting such progressive policies and resorting to ways that could eventually reign in a peaceful future for the Naga people.

The federation is convinced that this recent development is another landmark towards amicably resolving the South-East Asia’s longest movement for self determination in a manner which will uphold the legitimate rights and unique history of the Nagas, stated in the release.
