The Naga Students’ Federation, NSF has urged upon the State government to set up a committee led by Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms with members of concerned department and experts to draft the Staff Selection Board policy in tune with other state policies.
The new team of NSF led by President, Ninoto Awomi made the request through a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio while calling on him yesterday (June 12).
The NSF also pressed upon him to do away with departmental exams immediately and that all vacancies in Grade III posts which do not fall under the purview of Nagaland Public Service Commission should come under the SSB for open competition.
NSF has set a period of two months for setting up of SSB in the State. According to a NSF release, the Federation also sought the CM’s support on the various pressing issues which are confronting the students’ community in the state.
The NSF team also apprised the CM on the five charter of demands of All Nagaland College Students’ Union. The NSF informed that after listening to their presentation, Rio assured to look into all the concerns at the earliest.
