NSF & ENSF serves ultimatum to mainstream SSA & RMSA teachers of 2010 & 2013 batches

Kohima, September 02 (NEx): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) and the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) issued an ultimatum to the State Government in regards to the agreement that was signed between the School Education department and the Nagaland Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers Association (NSSATA), NSF & ENSF on June 12, 2018.

The agreement (Point No. 3) states that the department will rectify the nature of the appointment of SSA teachers of 2010 & 2013 batches basing on the appointment order, RTI reports and advertisement and other relevant documents. Subsequently, the cabinet meeting on October 3rd, 2018 decided in principle to bring the teachers of all 2010 and 2013 batches of SSA & RMSA teachers into the mainstream of School Education cadre and the office memorandum issued by the cabinet’s Secretariat on October 5th 2018.

The federations said that despite several reminders and appeals, the agreement has not been implemented till date and the two federations after a consultative meeting resolved to issue this ultimatum to mainstream SSA & RMSA teachers of 2010 & 2013 batches as per the decision taken in the cabinet meeting on October 3rd, 2018 and memorandum issued on October 5th, 2018 within a period of 30 days from the official date of communication.

Failing which, the two federations warned that it shall be compelled to take up democratic measures against the inaction of the state government.
