NSF conducted ILP checking at Chumukedima area and found many ILP defaulters

Dimapur, August 7: Inner Line Permit (ILP) checking conducted at Chumukedima on Wednesday (7th August) by Naga Students’ Federation along with Angami Students’ Union, Dimapur Naga Students Union and Chakhroma youth organization.

NSF officials led by NSF Vice President Dievi Yano along with ANU – President, Diezokho and DNSU – President, Sedevilie and other student leaders and volunteers conducted a surprise checking of ILP at Chumukedima.

The officials checked on all the vehicles and non-locals at Chumukedima area, and found many ILP defaulters in restricted areas.

More than thousand non locals have been passing through Chumukedima gate everyday and we have verified thousand and deported 308 ILP defaulters outside the purview of ILP zone, informed NSF VP Dievi.

The EAC Chumukedima, ACP and police unit extended their help to carry out the ILP checking.

Speaking to NagalandExpress, NSF Vice President, Dievi said that the federating units under NSF will be conducting surprise checking of ILP in respective places until the government take strict measures to implement ILP in the state.
