Kohima, August 14 (NEx): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) along with all it’s federating units and sub-ordinate bodies celebrated the 74th Naga Independence day, today, August 14, 2020 by hoisting Naga National Flag at their respective headquarters across Naga inhabited areas.
Through a social media notification, NSF extended warmest Naga Independence day greetings to all the Naga people living in different parts of the world.
As Nagalim celebrates its 74th year of its length and breath free from any occupational and imperialistic forces, the federation joins the Naga people in taking their legacy forward. Today’s celebration is in furtherance of the Naga people’s legitimate rights based on historical facts, it said.
The NSF reiterated their earlier appeal to the Naga people, to love one another unconditionally, accept each other’s weaknesses, respect each other’s differences and together with Christ, strive towards our ultimate goal.
On August 11, 2020 NSF Vice President, Dievi Yano and General Secretary, Liremo R Kikon, notified that the NSF regrets it’s inability to commemorate the Naga Independence Day due to global COVID-19 outbreak and the SOP set in place by the concerned authorities. Further, it directed all its units to mark the day by hoisting Naga National flag at their respective headquarters.
