NSCN (IM) recruitment bid busted; 32 Youth rescued in Mon

Kohima, November 24 (NE): Troops of Indian Army and Assam Rifles in a major breakthrough busted a covert recruitment racket of NSCN (IM) in Mon, Nagaland on Thursday, November 21, 2019, stated in a report from the Eastern Command Indian Army on Sunday, November 24, 2019.

32 youth hailing from Laokkun, Tizit Town, Jaboka, Nokzang, Hatothi (Naginimora) and Chingphoi villages were rescued on Mon-Aboi road in the operation when they were being taken for recruitment by Two NSCN (IM) cadres to Aopao Camp, added in the report.

On being questioned it was revealed that these youths from local areas had been lured by various UG groups on the pretext of providing jobs.

The apprehendees and the innocent youth have been handed over to the police for further investigation.
